PTFE + Graphite packing for insulation
The MF 260 gasket is made with PTFE of the highest quality added to a high content of encapsulated graphite , with diagonal braid .
Braiding and graphite make it a very flexible and adjustable braid, combining the extraordinary chemical resistance of PTFE with the great capacity of graphite to dissipate heat .
This gasket can be considered universally applicable except for strong oxidants such as (nitric acid, liquid alkaline materials).
The MF-260 packing does not harden and due to this quality the shaft can be lubricated during its service life.
Its thermal conductivity is one of the highest among PTFE / Graphite threads.
